Provably Fair for our Originals
Provably Fair is the system used on our platform to determine the outcomes of all Originals games. The system makes it possible to verify that game results have not been altered afterwards and that bets are processed according to the predetermined game rules and odds.
For every game round, the outcome is determined using publicly verifiable algorithms. This typically involves a client seed, server seed and nonce. The client seed is a string that the player can change themselves. The server seed is generated by the server and made accessible only in hashed form before the bet. After replacing the seeds, the original, unhashed server seed becomes visible.
The nonce is an incrementing number that starts at 0 and increases by 1 after every bet as long as the same combination of client seed and server seed remains active. In multiplayer games, including Roulette and Case Battles, EOS blocks may be used instead of these seeds. This allows the information used to be independently verified after the game round has been completed.
Verifying Provably Fair results
- Before placing a bet, open the Fair Play tab in an Originals game. The active seeds are displayed here. The server seed remains hashed at that moment, so the game outcome cannot be derived in advance.
- Place the bet. The values active at that moment are used to calculate the result of the game round.
- Then replace the combination of client seed and server seed. After this change, the unhashed server seed of earlier bets becomes accessible for verification.
- Open the page with your bets and select the ID of the bet you want to verify.
- Open the Provably Fair option at the bet in question. The values used to calculate the result are displayed there.
- Verify the result via the Verify tab. The calculation can also be performed manually using the publicly accessible algorithm of the game in question.
